Our Mentors
We have selected mentors from a variety of disciplines and institutions who bring a breadth of expertise in diabetes, global health and nutrition, obesity and cardiovascular disease, epidemiology, health disparities, equity, and health reform, and are leaders in their fields.
Each COURAGE Scholar will be paired with a mentor who will help navigate academia and career advancement and will be asked to meet with them monthly during the Scholar’s first 2 years and then quarterly.
We have chosen mentors for excellence in both research and leadership so that COURAGE scholars will receive mentorship in both areas.
